Important Notice:

1. Parents' Notification has been given out today.
2. Temperature taking exercise - It was a success. For your information, I will be keeping the thermometers so as to save everyone the hassle of replacing or buying new ones should they get misplaced. I apologise for not notifying you that the thermometers were with me prior to today.

1. Unit 10: Mass worksheet page 1-11. Please sign the cover after your child has completed the homework.
2. English worksheet page 7-9
3. Please complete the corrections in the Math workbook. Please sign the workbook after your child has completed their corrections.

1. Musical Theatre Course Edusave form - Please sign the edusave form to enable your child to participate in the musical theatre programme that will start next week.

2. Some of the parents have highlighted that they have misplaced the School Health Service Booklets and as such cannot provide me the Medical Information and Consent Form for Immunisation. I have made a copy of both documents and given it to your child. Please complete it and return it by tomorrow.

First day of Term 3

Good evening Parents,

I look forward to working with you again in Semester 2. Below is some housekeeping matters to take note of:

1. Collection of Health Booklets
2. Collection of Medical Information Form and Consent Form for Immunisation (can be found in the School Health Service - Health Check and Immunisation Booklet)
3. $1.70 to be collected by tomorrow for the FTGP booklet.
4. Remedial consent forms have been issued. Please return them tomorrow. Do take note if your child has to attend remedial on Monday and Tuesday or only Tuesday(highlighted in yellow) .
5. Please ensure that your child has Maths Homework 1B by tomorrow as I will be using it. I will not be collecting Workbook 1B Part 2 until further notice.

What was taught in school today?

Mathematics: Mass

1. Pupils were taught the use of the terms heavier than, lighter than and as heavy as. Pupils were given hands on experience using a balance scale to determine which of a set of two objects were heavier. It was highlighted that the heavier object will weigh the scale down.

English: Plural Nouns

1. Pupils were taught to transform singular nouns into plural nouns. They were taught simple rules for example:

Add the suffix -es for plural forms of words ending with o, x or ch:

Singular: Plural

Watch : Watches
Match : Matches
Flamingo : Famigoes
Potato : Potatoes
Box : Boxes
Fox : Foxes

2. Pupils were taught one exception:

Singular : Plural

Mouse : Mice
